Nice melody... but I think the drums volume are very high (stick out)
Try turn up the volume from bass too...

I perceives that music is subdivided in 3 acts but it's something wrong with harmony... well, as you say it's your first... keep playing and trains the ears.

The first 18 seconds suggest suspense, but in fact it's a very agradable ambient music. However at 2:08 this music modify suddenly the rhythm and broken the harmony. 4/5 - 8/10
